Summer Institute - Admissions
Summer Institute for Early Career Teachers
Teachers with two to five years of full-time head teaching experience are eligible to apply to receive this two week fully-funded fellowship. Up to 75 participants are chosen each year from a competitive pool of applicants. The awards committee considers a candidate's teaching promise, ability to work collaboratively and leadership potential.
To apply, candidates are asked to submit a completed application form, a personal statement, a recommendation from the division director or department chair, a recommendation from the head of school, and all post-secondary transcripts.
Tuition, housing and meals are provided at no cost to accepted students. Accepted students are responsible for their own transportation expenses to and from the program, but many participants' schools cover the travel costs including transportation to and from the airport, train or bus station to Lawrenceville School.
The 2014 Summer Institute will run from Thursday, June 19th until Wednesday, July 2nd.
The deadline for applying to the Summer 2014 program is January 15, 2014. Admission decisions will be emailed by mid-April.
The Klingenstein Center will cover the cost of the online application fee. In order to avoid paying the fee, you must indicate in your payment option that you will pay by Check. We will not be able to reimburse any application fees submitted online.
